So much of what we know about our health, we just picked up along the way. Something we heard, something everyone around us follows, something that sounded right so we never questioned it. And a lot of it turns out to be a half-truth - not wrong exactly, just incomplete.
That’s why we started LightYears Lens a year ago. We wanted a space that gave you the full story, not just the version that’s easy to repeat.
But somewhere along the way, this stopped being just something we were putting out for you. Halfway through the year, I realised that for some of these topics, even I only had half the picture going in. The trendier or more debated ones - the ones everyone has an opinion on but nobody’s actually checked - the research took me somewhere I didn’t expect, and some of what I’d assumed going in didn’t fully hold up. So this became something I was unlearning and relearning alongside you, every single Saturday.
That’s what LightYears Lens has turned into. Not a place that hands you tips. A place that shows you the why underneath them, so you’re the one making the call - not just following along.
52 weeks in, I’m genuinely proud of what this has become. And I want it to keep becoming more - more of the questions you actually have, more of the myths you’ve been quietly unsure about, more real conversations instead of just posts going out into the void.
So tell me - what do you want LightYears Lens to be in year two? What have you been wondering about that we haven’t covered yet? Hit reply, I read all of it.
Thank you for a year of Saturdays, here’s to many more!
